Home sweet home♡

The only reason why I'm writing this blog entry is simply cuz....

Now don't get me wrong.. not that I'm complaining but I thought it might be more comprehensive if I were to do a round-up blog entry to conclude the video I made on the new home (BELOW)

So let me answer a few common questions before I go more in-depth about certain details.

Q1) How much is the rental per month?
The rental is $1.5k per month - I know it's not cheap but I get the entire apartment to myself, and it's a private property not a HDB in a pretty central area so I'm quite happy with my find!

Q2) Where is the location of your studio apartment?
I can't share much on this but I'm not too far away from town!

Q3) How long is the contract of your lease?
It's a year!

Q4) Can I rent a place if I am a Singaporean/foreigner?
I don't see an issue for Singaporeans to rent as long as you are renting it for legit purposes la.
For foreigners I'm not too sure, please check on that for more info!

Q5) How did you find this studio apartment?
I found it online.

Some really good websites for rented properties are :

Q6) Did you rent it directly from the landlord or through an agent?
I was lucky to find this place online and rented it directly from the landlord himself!

Q7) Why did you want to rent a place outside, why not live with your parents?
Personally, if you have followed me/my blog closely, I have been living out for 5 years.
After my divorce I don't see myself moving back to live with my parents (it's like I know I want to deal with my own shit/problems) so I decided to move out alone instead.

Now let me go into more details about my new place/the stuffs in it!

1) The Living Area

When I open the door, this is what I see.

Because the space is pretty small, it's an area where I have a pantry, "sofa" seats and my work station.
(Workstation table was previously bought by me in my old home)

Black storage boxes below are from IKEA

Bought these comfy floor chairs/foldable table off Taobao
$19.70 each

And this is my pantry that was already here when I moved in.
I simply added a microwave stand that is super useful for storage purposes!

Storage area behind the door - there's a fridge so I can only make use of the space above the fridge.

Installed no-screws shelves above and stored some boxes/random stuffs that I don't usually need.

$9.50 each

2) The Bathroom

My favourite toilet bowl rack is a buy that I'm really proud of because

And because there's quite a bit of space in the bathroom beside the toilet bowl, I can add additional storage shelves to store my toiletries/etc.

(Sorry for the blur photo)

Both of these shelves were bought off Qoo10!
