Last Minute shopping at 西門町 & our missed flight encounter
Woke up in the morning to do some last minute packing, and headed out to the streets of 西門町 for some last minute shopping.
I spent my last fortune left on makeup/skincare products. :P
Now on to the issue of the missed flight.
ASK ME : HOW COULD YOU EVER MISS YOUR FLIGHT?!?
Our flight was 1345hours.
We thought we would be able to catch it if we left 西門町 at 12pm.
To our horror we couldn't find a cab to take us to the airport.
Partly because we were expecting a fare of NT800 so we rejected a few which came by offering NT1000.
It was a stupid stupid stupid mistake.
Because in the end we took a cab for a fee of NT1000 still cos we were running out of time, at 12.22pm.
Reached the airport at 1310hours.
The super "helpful" personnel at the check-in counter kept saying that Tiger Airways dont have a representative there to check us in anymore so she cannot do anything.
"OMG, then HOW?!?"
We went to the Tiger Airways reception to ask for help.
The lady gave us a number to call which funnily enough, is a SG hotline telling us that they are not opened on Sundays. (but the paper which states their number also did state this is a 24 hour toll-free number)
So in the end, we missed our flight just like that just because no one was there at the check-in counter 35minutes before our flight actually took off.
And then, we booked the fastest flight we could get back on to SG.
AND YES IT'S MY FAVOURITE BUDGET AIRLINE : JETSTAR!
Tickets were approx $195 which was really like a gift bestowed to us from the heavens cos it was much cheaper than we have expected.
So yup, we spent around 6 hours in the airport playing card games, walking around, and eating.
And back to SG to a surprise from my L♥ friend who took good care of Cookie for me during this trip and planted a few "bombs" on our car. :D
