The "mini" Big Day (:

Hi!

Right...I haven't been blogging much again.
But honestly how many people still read this blog still anyway. :P

About my mini Big Day...actually its the ROM day to put it in simpler terms (:

Have done up EVERYTHING which honestly takes one big load off my chest.
PHEW.

From small decoration items like ribbons to balloons, to photobooth props, to the more complicated ones like the chair tie backs.

Gonna share some things I've done so far... (:

(Not the real pics, wait for the real official ones after the ROM day itself :) )

Have planned to hold the ROM ceremony at NSRCC as its more of a small and more private event/celebration.

Only my bridesmaids are invited though.. so friends look forward to the customary wedding okok? (:

For this ROM, all of the decorations were done up by....yours truly (: (with the help of the hub)
Because we just dont have the budget to involve the help of a florist (which might cost a bomb just to deco the entire place)..
So I have decided to put my DIY skils to test!

Alright now to share....

1) HESSIAN CHAIR TIE BACKS

Something like that.. wanted to make brown paper ribbon bows but my bridesmaids suggested not to as its really fragile..
Trust myself not to consider about that hur -.-

The tie backs I've made are not "flowy" like that and are not as thick too.
But I feel they have more of a sweet and neater look.
Will update when I've gotten the pics (:

2)TISSUE POMS

I cheated on this one.. spent $2 on each pom :p
Bought Light pink and Gold..
By the way the colour theme to my ROM is Mint and Peach.. so these two colours should not be too far from the main theme, still within the colour chart (:

3)CANDLES CANDLES & CANDLES

This will probably one of the deco to be all around the bungalow.
Easy to do, cheap and really sweet looking.
Plus, candles warm up the room pretty nicely. (:

4)DIY DESSERT TABLE

This is probably the one that requires last minute work (cos of the food preparations).
But other than that, the decorations, labels, and sequences have been settled and I can't wait to show you all the final product!

5)DIY GUESTBOOK AREA

Also one of my favourite corners.
Guests will sign the book and pick out a little something for them to bring home.
There's also some decorations that I DIY-ed with Hub.

6)DIY PHOTOBOOTH

This should be the fun corner where friends take pics of themselves with props using our polaroid camera provided.
They then paste their shots in the guestbook where they sign to leave a memory (:

7)GARLANDS+LANTERNS

The ring garland is not in white!
I made it in mint and peach for some contrast in colour and also in lieu to the colour theme.
Bought the lanterns at $2 from DAISO SG.

Now the main question...
How much did I spend, what is the budget for the deco?
It's $300, excluding the food.

I feel that I could have save costs here and there if I had planned very carefully what to do and what not to (i.e. replacing hessian over the brown paper, etc.)

Have hired a photographer for the ROM, hopefully pictures turn out awesome! (:
ALRIGHT GOTTA GO BRING THE FATBOY DOWN FOR A WALK...
CIAOS! ;)

P.S. : Guess what.. even my floral bouquet is diy-ed :p
