Clozette TV Party @ ALTIMATE // Media Food Tasting Experience @ IPPIN CAFE BAR

15th October 2015 - Clozette TV Party @ ALTIMATE

Last friday, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Clozette TV party at ALTIMATE with the rest of the other babes from the Clozette Community!

Held at ALTIMATE on level 61 of 1-Altitude, this party showcases recent Clozette TV productions like "Style School" by Sonya Davison and the soon to be launched series "Style Life" by Liv Lo!

Our drinks were kindly sponsored by Grey Goose; what's really interesting is that they created three style cocktails which are also the dress codes of the party, namely  Classic Mod, City Chic and Monochrome Lux!

There was even a Gold Tattoo booth for all of us!
There were too many designs honestly I didn't know what to pick... and ended up with one gold line on my arm :P

A group shot with most of the ladies who were there early!

(I have no idea what I was doing hahaha)

And then Chev and my turn to camwhore at this lovely venue!

I had a little too much to drink that night I admit - 2 champagnes, 3 cocktails...
Hahaha so if you follow my snaps, you would have known that I was a little... high :P

CHEERS! :D

We had so so so much fun that night!
Thank you for this wonderful event and invite, Clozette! :D

19th October 2015 - Media Food Tasting Experience @ Ippin Cafe Bar

Yesterday, the husband and I got the opportunity to head a food tasting session held at this really lovely Japanese cafe bar.

Being Singapore's first home concept Japanese Cafe Bar, Ippin Cafe Bar is situated at Mohamed Sultan Road.
Unpretentious, homely and sincere, this place welcomes you with interiors of beautiful white hues and lovely art pieces crafted by children from an art school not far away from the cafe itself.

When I say that it is homely and real, I mean it.
Even down to the people who work there.
Their cheerful smiles and personalities made this entire experience even more heart-warming for us and I must say, even before tasting the food, I am already in love with this cosy little place!

Other than authentic Japanese food, this place serves a huge range of sakes that are specially imported
from Japan - expect much reasonable prices for sakes here as compared to other Jap restaurants!

Please try the strawberry / yuzu sake!
You do not want to leave this place without trying them trust me! :D

They also have a huge variety of Japanese snacks, ingredients, teas and products!

After exploring, it's time for us to try some yummy authentic japanese food that are "Better than mom's home-cooked food"!

This is Hazel, the manager of Ippin Cafe Bar.
She introduced the food tasting menu to us and I went ahead to pick the Oyakodon Set ($15 nett) and Wasabi Salt / Garlic Soy Beef Steak Set ($25 nett).

So while waiting for your food, you don't have to feel bored as there are card/board games on every table for you to keep yourselves entertained - how thoughtful and sweet! :D

This is my favourite game since I was a little girl :P

Feeling hot?
They have this plastic fan for you to fan yourself... hahaha!

And there comes our food! :D

 Oyakodon Set ($15 nett)
This dish was alright for me, as I am someone that prefers more sauce when it comes to having Jap food.
I would also prefer the egg to be more well-cooked before serving, but other than that, thumbs up!

3.5 out of 5 stars for this one! :D

Wasabi Salt / Garlic Soy Beef Steak Set ($25 nett)
I am totally in LOVE with this one!
The beef was juicy and succulent with every single bite seriously.
I am someone that do not appreciate medium-rare beef but this one is just so so yummy I was literally stealing a few more bites than I should off the husband's plate... :P

In my sincere opinion, 4.5 out of 5 stars for this one! :D

The darjeeling tea that Hazel let us try was super duper yummy!
Love the after-taste! :D

Too bad the husband and I didn't manage to take a photo together... but here's one of me by him! :D

We had a lovely time at Ippin Cafe Bar.
