WEIGHT ISSUES - TOP 7 TIPS ON HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT (PART III)

Hey ho~~

Today I'm going to share with you all the final two tips that I guess everyone of you are waiting for..

"DIET and EXERCISE" WEIGHT LOSS TIPS

Anyone who knows me well enough, knows what I swear by these two tips ALL THE TIME.

They say :

I agree with the saying above
There is absolutely no way you can just eat and eat and eat but exercise and still expect to lose weight.

Sorry I correct myself - eat and eat and eat THE WRONG FOODS.

My point?
Eat right and work hard.

Still don't really understand?
Let's go more in-depth....

4) Diet
Don't get me wrong.
Dieting DOES NOT mean you cannot eat your favourite stuffs anymore.

I'm just telling you to eat SMART.

How?

- Firstly : Drink a glass full of water before any meal.
This works like a charm for me.
You will realise you tend to eat slower and lesser if you do this.
And plus, drinking water benefits you, and helps flush all the toxins out.
So no matter when, drinking water does help to keep your body hydrated and maintains regularity.

- Secondly : Give yourself off days.
For me, my off days are the weekends.

I don't binge, but I really eat whatever I like during my two favourite days of the week.
(Yes including KFC and Macs)
I call these "cheat meals".
Hehe.

When you eat right for 5 days a week, you tend to feel less guilty when you eat whatever you might want to on the 6th and 7th day. (You shouldn't be.)

Entirely controlling yourself not to eat anything you love might result in a food-binge, causing you
to eat more than you normally would to emotionally satisfy yourself and this is not healthy.

How to eat right on the weekdays :
1) Eat wholemeal foods (wholewheat breads/cereals, oats, brown rice)
- High in fiber
- Helps in weight loss

2) Eat more fruits and vegetables (even when you hate them)
- High in fiber/vitamins/minerals
- Fills you up faster

3) Eat leaner meats (like I would rather have turkey ham over normal ham as it has lower fat content)
- Other options are : fish, chicken breast meat

4) Eat a super hearty and heavy breakfast
- You will realise you tend to have more energy for the rest of the day and eat lesser during lunch and dinner.

5) Snack right
- Stop snacking on stuffs like chips, sweet stuffs,
- Healthier options :
*Dehydrated fruits
*Wholemeal foods
*Baked potato chips
*Homemade popcorn
*Fruits

6) Lower your sugar intake
Sugar is the energy killer.
You get tired more easily with excessive sugars, and sugars when not burnt goes into your system to be stored as fat.
I bet you don't want that!
You might want to have healthier options like raw/brown sugar.

5) Exercise
I won't go in stuffs like which workout is the best or how much calories each respective exercise burn, because I feel this is kind of personal - you will rather work harder and WANT TO WORK if you are doing something you like.

Like for me, I love running.
I will not forgo running for any other exercises like aerobic workout etc.

And if anyone of you think it's too late to start, never think this way.
It is never too late to start, and start small.
Some tips to get you to start getting the body you want.

1) Spend money (for the right reasons)
Get your shopping on everyone!
Hehe.
Okay dont get me wrong, what I mean is buy some workout clothes and workout gear.
For me this works, I get excited to wear some nice stuffs to workout and when I put them on I will feel happier to do so.
Haha this tip is on me, I really hope this works for you too yea ;)

2) Consistency
This one is important, there is no way you can workout once and think it helps you slim down.
Consistency and determination is the key.
If you think start working out 1 day a week can help you slim down, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it does nothing much at all.
It works much better if you start by working out 3 times a week, but start small.

E.g. :
Walk 1km + Run 500m 3 times a week.
Slowly increase to : Walk 1km + Run 1km 3 times a week.

etc.

3) Never give up
This one works with consistency.
If you think of giving up, then don't even start.
Harsh truth but yes, why give up if you want to start doing something good for yourself!
So like I say, start slow, keep it going, never give up.

If you are running 2km today, do it.
Do not find excuses for yourself (unless you are really sick and unfit for working out).
Do not stop and give up halfway.

KEEP HAVING THIS MINDSET : YOU ARE WORTH IT

4) Do something you love + strength moves to tone up
My favourites are swimming and running for cardio.
What about yours?
If it is dancing/jump-rope/bike-riding/etc, do it.

Strength moves wise, I like to do pilates for toning up.
You might want to google for some pilates workout routine videos online for starters.

Remember : Cardio + Strength works together.
Cardio exercises helps you get rid of fats.
Strength exercises helps you to tone up after you rid of your fats. :)

5) Make a playlist of some songs that makes you want to get moving~
This works like a charm for me.
I listen to these songs to "feel" strong and want to work out, even harder.
Some of my favourite workout songs are :
- Miss Independent by Kelly Clarkson
- Shake It Off by Taylor Swift
- Bang Bang by Jessie J
- Break Free by Ariana Grande
- Clarity by Zedd

etc.

For my personal experiences, please watch the following video :

This sums up my weight loss and dieting blog entries.
I really sincerely hope this helps in your weight loss journey and I am happy with all the responses I get from all of you.

Work hard, play hard.

Remember : YOU ARE WELL WORTH IT
